Are all boats on the Ljubljanica the same, or does the same provider offer them? Are you really 🧐 the ONLY wooden electric boat in Ljubljana?
We're the only 100% electric handmade wooden one, unique, yes.
Each boat on the Ljubljanica River is operated by a different owner.
Other boats are ok if you JUST want to travel along the Ljubljanica.
But if you want a TRULY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE with a handmade wooden, 100% electric, and stylish boat, then we are the ONLY choice.
On regular tours, we also offer (included) live guidance, which is unfortunately more of an exception than a rule on boats in Ljubljana.
Unfortunately, you don't get this on any other boat on the Ljubljanica (as far as we know at the time of writing this answer), only with us.
Can we take pictures & 📸 selfies on the boat? How about a picture with the captain?
Of course! Create unforgettable memories and take pictures with our captain, too!
If you ask us, we are happy to take pictures of you (couples, families, etc.), so we can capture you all in a beautiful group moment.

Is it possible to buy hot/cold drinks and food on the boat?
Of course! We offer hot and cold drinks (mulled wine, tea, juice, water, beer, champagne, etc.)
We don’t sell food on our regular trips.

Is there a guide on the ship who explains the sights along the way? Can we ask questions?
Of course!
We are one of the few (maybe even the only) ships on the Ljubljanica River where the captain and helmsman (assistant) live, tell stories, explain the surroundings, and answer your questions during our Regular Daily 50-minute boat tours (and other excursions).
On the 25-minute December Boat Tour, due to the short time available for viewing the lights, taking pictures, etc., there simply is not enough time for storytelling. We are happy to answer your questions, of course.
We suggest joining us on the 25-minute December Boat Tour after 4pm to experience the magical lights of Ljubljana in all its glory. Then come back the next day for our 50-minute Regular Daily Tour with live narration, where we will answer all your questions.
Are there pillows and blankets on the boat? What should I wear?
We believe in providing an unspoiled, authentic experience.
Sure, you could add some heaters to the boat, but that would take away from the magic and authenticity of the experience – the gentle breeze, the natural scents, and the soothing sounds of the river.
Without these sensory elements, you can watch the ride on your smart TV from the comfort of your couch.
It’s not the same, is it? 😉
Don’t worry, though – this is not an Arctic expedition! It’s a comfortable 25-minute ride in a Mediterranean climate.
For your comfort, we provide cushions for comfortable seating and blankets for warmth, if needed. A kettle or tea also helps to keep you warm, no worries.

Do I need a reservation, or do I buy a ticket on the boat?
Reservation is not mandatory (you can also buy a ticket on the boat), but it is recommended so that you don't miss the ride. Winter months are very busy, and often the dates are already booked (due to groups, special events, etc.).
We suggest that you click on the brown button ‘Get more info. on December Boat Tour’ and send us an inquiry. We will answer you (and confirm the date) the same day or the next (working) day. We are very responsive.
