Are all boats on the Ljubljanica the same, or does the same provider offer them? Are you really 🧐 the ONLY wooden electric boat in Ljubljana?

We're the only 100% electric handmade wooden one, unique, yes.

Each boat on the Ljubljanica River is operated by a different owner.

Other boats are ok if you JUST want to travel along the Ljubljanica.

But if you want a TRULY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE with a handmade wooden, 100% electric, and stylish boat, then we are the ONLY choice.

On regular tours, we also offer (included) live guidance, which is unfortunately more of an exception than a rule on boats in Ljubljana.

Unfortunately, you don't get this on any other boat on the Ljubljanica (as far as we know at the time of writing this answer), only with us.

What does a private boat rental include?

A private boat rental includes a private ride on our electric wooden boat on the Ljubljanica River, a captain, a helmsman, and an assistant/guide, as well as the option to customize the catering – for example, drinks, snacks, or guidance – making it ideal for a family outing or a trip with friends.

We will take care of the catering, featuring stylishly prepared snacks, finger food, and a selection of drinks, including local wines and soft drinks, in collaboration with Wine Bar Šuklje, renowned for its top-notch catering.

Our professional staff will provide a guided tour, stories, and adventures.

In case Slovenian or English is not sufficient for guiding, we can also hire a licensed local guide with knowledge of most foreign languages for our guests.

How long does a private boat rental ride last?

You can rent a boat for different lengths of time – usually 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours.

Longer rentals are also possible by arrangement, if there is free time available. Contact us, and let's talk about what suits you best.

How many people can the boat accommodate?

Our Barka Ljubljanica comfortably accommodates up to 8-10 people, making it ideal for family or small group of friends.

The maximum capacity is 48.

Can we customize the experience to our brand or guests?

Of course!

Full customization is possible – from welcome signs and decorations to drinks, activities, and your brand presentation during the cruise, among other options.

Do you serve food and drinks on the boat (catering)?

Of course.

We will take care of the catering – with stylishly prepared snacks, finger food and a selection of drinks, including local wines and soft drinks, in collaboration with Wine Bar Šuklje, who are known for their top-notch catering.

Is there a guide on the boat who explains the sights along the way? Can we ask questions?

Of course!

We are one of the few (maybe even the only) boats on the Ljubljanica River where the captain and helmsman (assistant) live, tell stories, explain the surroundings, and answer your questions during boat tour.

Questions are always welcome, and we are happy to answer them (if we can).

Is the boat suitable for a calm, quiet, and pleasant trip?

Yes. The boat is quiet and 100% electric, so it offers a peaceful and relaxed environment - you can talk and even whisper secrets to each other without any problems ;)

How far in advance should we book a date?

We recommend booking at least 3 to 7 days in advance to secure your desired date and allow time for any adjustments.

Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible if the boat is available.
